Our Opinion

Alma Maraú is one of the most complete options we’ve found for travelers looking for upscale accommodation in Cassange, particularly families and groups. Its biggest advantage is that you don’t have to choose between renting a private home and staying at a hotel: you get the space and privacy of a residence while still having access to a restaurant, housekeeping, concierge, swimming pools, spa and sports facilities.

We also really like the location for the right kind of trip. Cassange is considerably quieter than Barra Grande and Taipu de Fora, and Alma takes full advantage of that setting: the beach directly in front, plenty of nature and enough facilities to spend much of your stay without leaving the property.

On the other hand, we wouldn’t choose Alma if your priority is dining frequently in Barra Grande, enjoying the nightlife or going back and forth to the village every day. The distance can become inconvenient, and you probably wouldn’t get the full value from everything Alma offers.

For families and groups looking for beach, space, privacy and extensive facilities, however, we think Alma Maraú is one of the most distinctive accommodation options in this part of the Maraú Peninsula.
